I I I I I I U.D, Contracting Due to the weather conditions, the contractor lost 20 days of working time, The Council hereby grants the contractor an extension of time from the first working day in 1983 as established by the City Engineer to complete Project #82-1. Further, it is directed that the City Engineer inform the above contractors in writing of the Council action. Motion carried. Voting Yes: Mayor Gamec, Councilmembers Cox, Sorteberg, Reimann and Van Wagner. Voting No: None. ~ Motion by Councilmember Cox and seconded by Councilmember Van Wagner to adopt Resolution #82-160 ordering preparation of report on Improvement Project #83-2, contingent upon City Attorney obtaining approval from bonding company that ~979 bonding funds may be utilized. (Please refer to resolu- tion file for Resolution #82-160). Further Discussion: Councilmember Reimann stated that property owners along 167th should be assessed the equivalent amount that was assessed to property owners in the Jasper area. Motion carried. I I I I I Councilmember Cox stated th~t-'it is very. important to survey of the Ramsey Development Park so that volunteer developers can plan and perfg-gm construction of road and parking facilities into the park and therfore~have 2 or 3 softball diamonds ready for use in 1983. He further stated that a survey is necessary considering the river and layout of the land. Mr. Berg stated that Ramsey Maintenance Shop land should also be surveyed. Mayor Gamec stated that the City is not doing anything with these propert.ies right no~ and that he sees no real urgent need for surveys at this time. Councilmember Cox stated that he would not request a survey for Ramsey Development Park if he wasn't sure that it was going to be developed. He also stated that he obtained the land for the Ramsey Development Park at no cost to the City, that he obtained the right~of-way for County Rd. #5 and #47 and Industry Blvd. at no cost to the City and certain accomplishments on Sunfish Blvd. at no cost to the City. He further stated that most of his accomplishments are without any money and when he has the ability to put pieces together~ he should be allowed to do so. That the City can construct a fine park without spending a lot of money, but a survey has to be performed by City personnel. Motion by Councilmember Reimann and seconded by Councilmember Sorteber~ to direct the City Engineer to perform the following land survey of certain City properties and not exceed the C/November 23~ 1982 Page 12 of 21
