The conservation methods reviewed involve the modification and addition to existing systems as well as the installation of some new equipment. Inas- much as the City is required by law to use competitive bidding, informal quotations will be received for each item of work to be completed. For those bids where the installation of any new equipment is required, the contractor shall submit, as part of his quotation, specifications for the equipment to be provided. Further, the contractor shall specify the number of working days necessary to complete the work quoted. The amount of the quotation, the equipment specified, and time of completion shall all be considered in awarding the quotations. Low q~ote alone will not necessarily guarantee an award. Attached please find a description of the various work items to be completed. Please quote those items you feel qualified to quote. Quote each item sep- arately on your letterhead and seal said quotes in an envelope marked quotes for: (item quoted). The City reserves the right to reject or accept any quote and to waive in- formalities. Ail quotes shall be good for a period of thirty days from th? date quotations are to be received. Quotes shall be received until 2:00 p.m., March 16, 1982. Awarding said quotes shall be considered by the City Council at their first regular meeting in MJrch. Ail equipment shall be warranted by the contractor for a period of one year. Warranties other than as specified shall be noted in the quotation. Any questions regarding the proposed work shall be directed to the City Build- ing Official. NO building permits will be required except that permits for any electrical work shall be acquired by the contractor.
