'city of coon rapids Mayor-City Council- to: City Manager date: from: Lee Starr, Director of Planning subject: Proposed Code Change-- Housing Floor Area Requirements 11-24-81 INTRODUCTION For the past several months the Planning Commission has been evaluating current City Code requirements for housing floor areas and how the code currently addresses floor area located below grade. Based on this evaluation, the Commission concluded several changes in existing code requirements for housing floor areas are appropriate and recommended the following general changes in Title 11 for City Council consideration. 1. Establishing common finished floor area requirements for duplex, quad, and townhouse units. 2. Providing a definition of finished floor area.
