Mr. Bosacker indicated he does not believe the construction will be a problem. He stated the <br />building is weather tight r~ow, so most of the remaining construction will be mechanical. <br /> <br />Commissioner Jeffrey asked if they would be obtaining a partial occupancy permiL, <br /> <br />Mr. Bosacker stated they would. · 'J · <br /> <br />Assistant Community Development Director Trudgeon added4he partial: occupancy permit <br />would not be granted if the building was not ready in the areas of'intended use. <br /> <br />Commissioner Shepherd asked if there would be special ;parking needed for athletic events. <br /> <br />Mr. Bosacker indicated they would not have athletic:events, at the school during the interim time. <br />He stated they are making arrangements for ar/d volleybalI to be held in other locations, <br /> soccer <br />and will be ready before basketball starts. - <br /> <br />Commissioner Jeffrey indicated October 15 was the target date, but knowing how Construction <br />can sometimes go, he asked if this was a hard date. <br /> <br />Mr. Bosacker stated it is the conSttUcti, on companies' guarantee. Heindi'cated they are seeing <br />that effort put forth, and since'it is .the first bui~lding in the Town Center, they want to do a good <br /> <br />Chairperson Nixt asked what ages would be in,. e temporary' units. <br /> <br />Mr. Bosacker stated K-4 would be in the building, with ~ades 5 and 6 in the closest units, and <br />the secondary grades around that. He indicated they would also have special needs classrooms <br /> <br />Chairperson Nixt asked if they would be reg¢l.ating traffic during the school day. <br /> <br />Mr. Bosacker stated they would.' He'ilad'/cated they have traffic control and would allow traffic <br />only for drop-off and pick-up. He added they have supervision monitoring the crossings to the <br />building as well <br /> <br />Commissioner Shepherd asked if the portable units have ventilation besides the windows. <br /> <br />Mr. Bosacker stated they do, and noted the units are compliant to education standards. He noted <br />that PCS Building Company actually owns the building, and he would request if the permit is <br />granted it be put in the name of PCS Building Company. He stated this woutd clarify the <br />school's leasing relationship. <br /> <br />Motion by Chairperson Nixt, seconded by Commissioner Jeffrey to close the public hearing at <br />7:52 p.m. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Chairperson Nixt, Commissioners Jeffrey, Brauer and Shepherd. <br />Voting No: None.
