The City of Eden Prairie is
pushing to have this area-wide tax revoked. Please
refer to the Letter and Communications section of this
agenda for a letter from Eden Prairie on this issue.
Any law that seeks to equalize wealth is not a good
law and that is what this law did to communities in
the Metro area.

3) Miscellaneous - The following items are submitted on this issue:

a) City Hall Plaque - It has finally arrived. Councilmembers
will have to decide where they want it installed.

b)

Industrial Revenue Bonds - The City has been extremely
fortunate in that we have issued three industrial revenue
bonds this year which is the most we have every issued
since I've been with the City.

Building Official Berg's Staff Report - ClaYton's report
for December shows that even with a negative economy we
are up over 1980 in building which is a good sign for Ramsey.

LGS:po
