JULIAN SCHMIDT'S REQUEST TO REZONE HIS PROPERTY FROM R-1 TO B-1 <br /> FOR A SHOPPING CENTER: <br /> <br /> Background Information: Mr. Schmidt and Mr. Muller are requesting the <br /> rezoning of 5+ acmes of existing residentially zoned land to business <br /> to accommodate a shopping center. Accordingly, the following is hereby <br /> submitted as enclosure (D3-c) for your review in this case: <br /> <br /> a) Application to rezone from R-1 to B-1 <br /> b) Notice of public hearing <br /> c) Individuals notified of public hearing <br /> d) Letter from Coon Rapids' Clinic dated September 21, 1981 <br /> · e) Public hearing meeting minutes dated October 6, 1981 which <br /> was conducted by the Planning and Zoning Commission <br /> f) Findings of fact as adopted by the Planning and Zoning Com- <br /> mission and recommended to Council <br /> g) Planning and Zoning Commission regular meeting minutes dated <br /> ~ October 6, 1981 which acted on the public hearing and findings <br /> <br /> · of fact (It should be noted that the Planning and Zoning Com- <br />~~[D~'~,~)~missi°n denied the request by a 3 to 2 vote.) <br /> Council Action: ~ou~ action on this case will be as follows: <br /> <br />a) <br /> <br />Findings.of Fact - Approve/disapprove/amend the findings of <br />fact that were adopted by the Planning and Zoning Commission <br />and are submitted for Council review and action. Please refer <br />to enclosure (D3-¢) which contains the findings of fact and <br />the Planning and Zoning Commission regular minutes of October <br />6, 1981. The following proposed motion is hereby submitted <br />for your consideration: <br /> <br />Motion by Councilmember and seconded by <br />Councilmember to approve/disapprove/amend <br />the adoption of the findings of fact on Mr. Julian Schmidt's <br />request to rezone 5+ acres of land from R-1 to B-1 for a <br />shopping center.
