City Assessor Wirz said he couldn't find any evidence that the lot is unbuildable.

city Administrator Schnelle said he was checking into the matter and would get
back some answers.

City Assessor Wirz said in regards to Parcel #8100 that somewhere along the line
they had the wrong acreage on it and he did change that.

Mayor Gamec said the raw land seems to have gone up 40% to 50%. He suggested
looking at buildings.

Mro Allen Koenig, Koeni~ Bros. Installation., 14290 Sunfish Lake Blvd.
Mr. Koenig said that his taxes went up by 1/3. He explained that he doesn't
live in the City of Ramsey or have children in Ramsey's schools.

City Assessor Wirz said Mr. Koenig's valuation went from $84,100 to $115,800.

Councilman Cox said these businesses are being nailed to the wall and they
can't adjust.

Mayor Gamec said it is up to the board to go along with the City Assessor's
figures or change them.

City Administrator Schnelle suggested reducing the values back to where they
were and telling the legislature and County the reasons.

Mayor Gamec said the general consensus seemed to be to set the valuations back
to last year's.

Motion by Councilman Cox and seconded by Councilman Reimann to reduce
the values on all commercial and open land that has had no physical changes
excepting new construction back to the 1979 valuations because of the
economic situation and the burden the increases would be on the businesses
in the community.

Motion carried. Voting yes-Mayor Gamec, Councilmen Sorteberg, Reimann
and Cox. Voting no-None.

Motion by Councilman Cox and seconded by Councilman Reimann to encourage
the County to report to property owners the previous year's market values
and that they be listed on the cards with the present year's valuations.

Motion carried.
