Councilman Cox told him it may not be the way he wanted it, but it is the way <br />the rest in the city are. <br /> <br />Action: No board action. <br /> <br />County Assessor Thurston informed the.board that each parcel must be listed <br />separately on the abstract. <br /> <br />Mr. Joseph Sentyrz, Plat #91040, Parcel ~30 <br />City Assessor Wirz said he found a discrepancy on this one because he had <br />5000 square feet which is 1000 more square feet than Mr. Sentyrz had. <br /> <br />Mr. Sentyrz explained the valuation on the building was approximately $92,000 <br />and it cost him $72,000 to build it last year. He asked that the building valuation <br />be dropped back to what it cost ($72,000) and he said he felt he was being <br />penalized because he made it so nice. <br /> <br />City Assessor Wirz said he valued the building at $13/sq. ft. <br /> <br />Councilman Cox said the city expects the commercial people to build an <br />attractive building and then it is tacked on to the valuations. He said <br />Mr. Sentyrz did things according to the ordinances and he built an attractive <br />building, but there are some strong dollars on it. He said he thought the <br />valuation was out of line. <br /> <br />Motion by Councilman Cox and seconded by Councilman Reimann to reduce the <br />structure value from $214,000 to $172,100 which would be a reduction of <br />$41,900 on Plat #91040, Parcel #30. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting yes-Mayor Gamec, Councilmen Sorteberg, Reimann and <br />Cox. Voting no-None. <br /> <br />Motion by Councilman Cox and seconded by Councilman Sorteberg to continue <br />the Board of Review until the 29th of May, 1980 at 7:30 p.m. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting yes-Mayor Gamec, Councilmen Sorteberg, Reimann <br />and Cox.
