2. INTRODUCTION <br />2.1 Authorization <br />The preparation of this report was authorized by the Ramsey City Council on January 12, 2016. <br />This project has been designated as City Improvement Project No. 16-36. <br />2.2 Project Overview <br />In 1995, the City of Ramsey developed Business Park 95. This work included construction of a <br />regional stormwater pond in a naturally low-lying area within the development. However, an <br />outlet was never constructed to connect the pond to a storm sewer system. This pond therefore <br />remains land -locked which will limit the ability for businesses to expand within this business <br />park, such as recently occurred when Dedicated Networks tried to expand in 2015. <br />2.3 Scope <br />City of Ramsey Improvement Project 16-36 proposes to construct a storm sewer system outlet <br />for the regional stormwater pond serving Business Park 95. Figure 1 in Appendix A shows the <br />properties that will benefit from the proposed improvements.
