CRAIG KINDERMAN ACCESS PROBLEM

Mr. Kinderman appeared before the P & Z Commission regarding his access
problem.

Consensus of the Commission is that they are in favor of recommending to
the City Council that a variance be granted to Mr. Kinderman to allow him
to subdivide by metes and bounds by taking off a 200 foot piece of land
from Tract A to add to Tract B to make it non-landlocked and that it is
to remain just two parcels.

Chairman Peterson said he is not in favor of this recommendation because
of future subdivision problems it may create.

ERNEST HONEBRINK

Mr. Honebrink was not present. Mr. Welsh of Welsh Auto Body was present
because of his interest in this subdivision. He is leasing property from
Mr. Honebrink at the present time that is involved in this platting.

Mr. Honebrink is to be contacted and informed by Mr. Welsh to bring in
a sketch plan, file an application for platting, pay the $500 deposit fee,
etc.

BEN DEEMER - REGARDING LETTER TO COUNTY COMMISSIONERS ON SANITARY LANDFILLS

OPERATIONS

Mr. Deemer presented an article from the Anoka County Union regarding "Solid
Waste Options Presented". He would like to see a letter sent to the Anoka
County Commissioners commending their progress and showing more support
of their ideas etc.

Art Dunn commented that the Board has been looking at various possibilities
travelling countrywide looking at resource recovery and other items attempting
to get a handle on what would be acceptable alternativ~ but it is something
that would be ten years down the road before they could use it. It takes
four years to get the permits and about six years to build a facility. And
if they don't think it is possible on a metro basis, it may never be done.
However, it is an alternative to the present system of disposing of garbage.

Ben Deemer and A. Peddycoart are to draft a letter in this regard.

INDUSTRIAL CLASSIFICATIONS

John Hubbard stated that he understood this was to be tabled until Dexter
had a chance to look at it and comment. So as not to overlap the efforts
being done on the Commission end of it and they felt that business should
be designed as manufacturing and/or processes and all other business would
fall into the Commercial category-functional as possible and develop with
the ordinances throughout.

He reviewed the "Uses" classification they are proposing.

Chairman Peterson commentedlthat this is an alternative to trying to
categorize each individual piece of land and business and trying to make
broad categories
!
