Carried <br /> <br />4-1 <br /> <br />Zimmerman voted Naye because no overall development plan was presented, and <br />the variance are being used as the rule rather than as the exception. <br /> <br />Discussion on the problems of narrow roads in some areas, such as Hall's Dover <br />Acres and Hall Anderson Acres. <br /> <br />A1 Sorteberg moved to recommend to the City Council to change the paved width <br />from 24 feet to 28 feet on Industrial Streets and from 20 feet to 24 feet on <br />a residential street. 2nd by Bradley Bodle and Carried. <br /> <br />5-0 <br /> <br />Discussion held on Urban Plan. It was the consensus of opinion among Planning <br />and Zoning members that the pu.blic hearing should be held by the Planning & Zoning <br />Commission or jointly by Planning & Zoning and the City Council. The adoption of <br />the Urban Plan would not be made until after the public hearing was held. <br /> <br />Assessment policy. <br /> <br />Pete Raatikka from Consulting Engineers Diversified Inc., explained the <br />proposed assessment policy for city streets. This policy insures a fair cost <br />distribution when streets are .upgraded. It was generally agreed that <br />Mr. Raatikka did a fine job of putting together this report and accompanying <br />map of City MSA streets and roads. <br /> <br />Ken Peterson moved to recommend to the City Council to adopt street assessment <br />policy dated February 10, 1977 and revised June 6, 1977. <br /> <br />Brad Bodle moved to Adjourn. Seconded by Gerald Zimmerman.
