Griner lot 7, Bl. 1)5410 177th Lane N.W. <br /> <br /> pg. 2 <br />Planning & Zoning <br />.Public Hearing <br /> 4/1Q/77 <br /> <br />The following were people ~resent that voiced their position on the conditional <br />use permit. <br /> <br /> (present) Robert So]~ett, Lot 1/B1.3, wanted to know if the dogs were <br />licensed. Mr. Odegaard sa~s they were not. He then objected because this area <br />is zoned residential. <br /> <br />It was pointed out by City iAttorney Bill Goodrich that a dog ordinance was in effect <br />since the Odegaards moved <br /> <br />Mr. Vern Ohman, (present) iLot 5/B1.2, 17735 Erkium Street N.W. is against the <br />conditional use permit. <br /> <br />Mr. John Tillery (present)!Lot 4/B1. 2 is opposed to thins permit. <br /> <br />He has been awakened several times and considered this a nuisance. <br /> <br />Mrs.Benson, (present) Lot ~, objected to this permit because of the barking. <br /> <br />Charles Skordahl, Lot 6/Bl.~ 2 objects to the kennel license because it devalues <br />his property. <br /> <br />Mr. Lentz (present) Lot 3/~1.1, said he visited the residence and found the <br />place in a clean condition.~ He said he objects to a commercial kennel license. <br />He said the neighbor dogs o~her than Odegaards do a lot of barking. <br /> <br />Mrs. Hughes (present) Lot 8~B1. 1, says says she objects to the kennel permit. <br />She has no dogs of her own., <br /> <br />Mr. Woltman (present), Loti2/B1.3, objects to the eprmit because the barking <br />the dogs make. He has one ~og. <br /> <br />Mrs. Soyett (present) Lot 1/BI 3 objects to the granting of a conditional use <br />permit. <br /> <br />Mrs. Sandra Watroga (Lot 2/~1.1) objects to having the permit issued. <br /> <br />Mrs. Theresa Henderson (Lotl3/B1. 4) 17640 Cobalt Street N.W. appeared tonight to <br />object to the noise the dog~ make. <br /> <br />City Attorney Goodrich explained that this is officially the first time that <br />the Odegaard's have appeared to apply for a conditional use permit under Ord. <br />76-4. They had been at other meetings but they were not officially acted upon <br />because of various reasons.' <br /> <br />Attorney Gurewitz, attorneylfor Odegaards, then proposed that the Odegaards <br />build a building to house t~e dogs, thus reducing or eliminating the noice from <br />the barking dogs. Discussion followed on this matter. <br /> <br />Mayor Cox said for the reco~d that there were complaints about the dogs in this <br />area before the present dog lordinance was made, (76-4). <br /> <br />Mr. Larry Lundy (Lot 3/B1. 2!) had signed a statement that he did not object <br />but was trying to sell his h~me at the present time. <br />Hearing cTosed at 8:30 P.M. <br /> <br /> <br />
