On <br />February 24, 1987, the city Council ordered a feasibility to <br />167th Ave~',ue between C..~J.A.H. #5 and Jaspar Street as a MSA <br />street ~ <br /> <br />EXISTING CONDITIONS <br /> <br />The prese~wt street co,;~si, sts of a rural street section with a <br />sand and 9ravel su. rfa-::~ approximately 28 to 30 feet in width. <br /> <br />The width of the rJ. gh'~:,~f-way varies from 33 to 40 feet. An <br /> <br />inspectJ, o]~ of the are!t :~;evealed that the drainage at the <br /> <br />intersection of Jaspac f~treet and 167th Avenue is trapped. This <br />creates problems duri ~g periods of heavy rain and spring runoff. <br />Drainage f~om the eas:', ~,.nd of 167th Avenue N.W. runs into the <br />CoS.A.~,,. #5 ditch whi,~h drains north into Trott Brook. <br /> <br />Soil borings of the e:.tia',ting road indicate some frost <br />susceptible soils at. ~[i~tances of 350, 850 and 1,050 feet from <br />Jaspar S'treet.
