EXISTING GRADE is the grade prior to grading. <br /> <br />FILL is a deposit of earth material placed by artificial <br />means so as to elevate the grade of a site. <br /> <br />FINISH GRADE is the final grade of the site which <br />conforms to the approved plan. <br /> <br />GRADE shall mean the vertical location of the ground <br />surface. <br /> <br />GRADING is any excavating or filling or combination <br />thereof, with no importing or exporting of material <br />from another site. <br /> <br />KEY is a designed compacted fill placed in a trench <br />excavated in earth material beneath the toe of a <br />proposed fill slope. <br /> <br />LICENSE FEE is the annual charge for a permit as <br />required herein. Said permit <br />shall be applied for pursuant to section !70.0!3D and issued <br />for a ma>~imum period cf three (3) years, after which a permit <br />renewal is resulted.
