Traveling Programs <br /> We took our Fact,Folklore and FABRICation quilt program on the road for a week in <br /> north central Minnesota,bringing Anoka County history to a statewide audience.Our <br /> other programs travelled to clubs,organizations,churches and schools across the metro <br /> area.All told,the ACHS presented 57 programs in 2015,most of them outside the walls <br /> of our building. <br /> ACHS Reached Over 2,800 people <br /> • • • • • • • • • • • • • • attended programs given <br /> by ACRS <br /> • • • • • • • • • • • • • • <br /> 100 People <br /> Ghosts of Anoka Walking Tours <br /> This year marked 12 years the ACHS has conducted the Ghosts AL 0 <br /> of Anoka Walking Tour.Thirteen volunteer tour guides led both Li cT"N <br /> private and public tours throughout the season,which ran from <br /> May through October 31.Each tour guide imparted the same <br /> information from an official script,but put his or her own flair <br /> and personality in the tour. Because of this,many people make <br /> the tour a yearly event for their friends,families or <br /> organizations. <br /> Tour attendees came from the immediate city of Anoka and "e' �°a 0'""""aa„e <br /> Anoka County,but also from across the metro area,and even <br /> outside the country.Each tour is structured with a mixture of"history and mystery" <br /> that highlights the rich traditions and heritage of the area as well as paranormal stories <br /> residents have shared with the Historical Society over the years. <br /> Ticket pricing increased this year from$7 to$9 for adults,and ticket sales remained <br /> steady.Even with multiple tours running a night,tours in September and October sold <br /> out quickly.This tour allows the ACHS to reach a new audience,while bringing local <br /> history to life with a ghostly twist. <br /> 20 o <br /> + Total#Tours 70 <br /> Average Tour Capacity 20.35 <br /> Total Attendance 1,425 <br /> Revenue $12,013 <br /> 8 <br />
