Council discussed generally the alignment and the type of development that <br />would take place ~ either side of the proposed road in the northern 80 <br />acres of the landfill site. <br /> <br />Mr. Hartley identified that the road would be a limited access road and <br /> <br />that develolmmnt in or near the landfill facility may conflict with efforts <br />to seek legislation defining adequate buffer areas for landfills. <br /> <br />Motion by Councilmember DeLuca and seconded by Councilmember $orteberg to <br />instruct staff to prepare a report on the content of the application for <br />certificate of need and plans prepared by Foth and Van Dyke and evaluate <br />the pros, cons and costs of the Waste Manage~.nt proposed agreement. <br /> <br />Councilmmbers Sorteberg, Cox, <br /> <br /> mentioned that he. had talked with the Anoka Postmaster about <br />the possibility of ]~msey being assigned a separate zip code and that the <br />Postmaster instructed that a letter should be sent to the Postmaster <br />General requesting such a change. <br /> <br />Motion by Councilmember DeLuca and seconded by Councilmember Cox to <br />instruct city staff to prepare a letter to the Postmaster General <br />requesting that Pamsey be assigned a separate zip code. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Mayor l~eimann, Councilm~bers Sorteberg, Cox, <br />DeLuca and Pearson. Voting No: None. <br /> <br />Motion by Councilmsuber Sorteberg and seconded by Councilmember Cox to <br />adjourn the special Council meeting. <br /> <br />Motion carried.
