Coon Rapids Continued... <br />Bartley Supply Company - Banley-Lindsay Corp., has <br />started construction on their 80,000 square foot distribution <br />facility at 9445 East River Road. Completion is expected by <br />July. <br />Coon Rapids Square - a 40,000 square foot shopping center <br />located on Coon Rapids Boulevard near 11 lth Avenue N.W. is <br />expected to open in March. <br />Model Engineering - construction of a 12,000 square foot <br />manufacturing facility at Xeon Boulevard and 114th Lane was <br />completed in November. <br />Majestic Woodworking - construction of a 5,000 square <br />foot cabinet shop at the intersection of Xeon and 114th Avenue <br />was complctcd in late fall. <br />MFI - is nearing completion of its 90,000 square foot <br />production facility on Northdale Boulevard. The <br />facility will complement its existing 48,000 square foot facility <br />across the street and the two buildings will house all of the MFI <br />operations in Minnesota. <br />MaKay Lincoln Mercury - has completed construction of its <br />23,000 square foot auto dealership on Coon Rapids Boulevard <br />and Reisling. <br />Travel Suites Motel - an 89 unit motel adjacent to <br />Tequilaberry's Restaurant is under construction at the intersection <br />of Coon Rapids Boulevard and Highway 10. The motel is <br />expected to open in March. <br />The Gaughan Companies - currently is constructing its <br />third office building complex at the intersection of Coon Rapids <br />Boulevard, Highway 10 and University Avenue and is also <br />adjacent to Tequilaberry's Restaurant. This complex will consist <br />of 32,000 square feet of lease space. <br />Brown's Meadow Manor - is expected to begin construction <br />this spring on a 195 unit, $10,500,000 aparunent complex at <br />Hanson Boulevard and 121st. <br />Reisllng Park Towers - a two-tower, six story facility <br />containing 140 rental units at a cost of approximately <br />$7,500,000 and will be located at Coon Rapids Boulevard and <br />Reisling Boulevard. <br />FRIDLEY, <br />Lake Pointe Corporate Center - is an office complex <br />proposed at the intersection of Central Avenue and Interstate 694. <br />The project is expected to be built over a 15 year period. <br />University Avenue - from 45th Avenue to 85th Avenue will <br />undergo a five year plan to give the corridor a visual renovation <br />to complement the private redevelopment to date and to stimulate <br />additional private development projects. This project calls for <br />landscaping, decorative walkways at intersections, better signage, <br />visually pleasing street lights, improved overhead signals, <br />covered bus shelters, and gateways established at the north and <br />south entrances to the city. The first phase is expected to begin <br />this spring. <br />Winfield Development - will complete construction of a <br />55,000 square foot warehouse and office complex to be located <br />on University Avenue. <br />Northtown Plaza - The Wholesale Club opened this fall at <br />University Avenue and 81st Street. It is the fu'st phase ora <br />258,000 square foot retail center being built by Vantage <br />Companies. <br />University Industrial Park - Paschke Properties has <br />completed a 28,000 square foot industrial complex. <br /> <br />LINO LAKES <br />Rice Lakes Estates - Construction began last fall on water <br />and sewer extensions to the Rice Lakes Estates, a 100 plat <br />housing subdivision located at the intersection of Highway 49 <br />and Lake Drive. Prices will range from $80,000 to $130,000. <br />South Reshanau Lake Estates - is a 162 home housing <br />subdivision platted for development. It is located on Birch <br />Street, two miles east of the intersection of Birch Street and <br />Highway 49 and is being built by G.M. Development. <br />Dennis Erickson Second Addition - a housing <br />subdMsion of 78 homes is being proposed by Dennis Erickson <br />on Birch Street. It is located on 37 acres just south of Black <br />Duck Drive. <br />Tax Increment District - The city council approved the <br />city's first tax increment financing area. The city will be <br />capturing the increment off the Rice Lake Estates housing <br />subdivision and anticipates using the increment to fund sewer and <br />water projects in Lino Lakes, thereby assisting new commercial <br />development. ' ' "- <br /> Schwans Ice Cream - located at 7698 Lake Drive built a new <br /> 3,108 square foot addition which will include office and <br /> warehouse facilities. <br /> Klosner-Goertz - built a new 5,796 square foot mini-storage <br /> building in the Lino Industrial Park at 448 Lilac Street. Klosner- <br /> Goertz also built a 4,116 square foot office and warehouse <br /> facility at 432 Lilac Street. <br /> Nickelson Plumbing and Heating - built a 3,108 square <br /> foot office and warehouse building at 7540 Fourth Avenue. <br /> Wayne Scanlan Veterinary Clinic- completed a 4,050 <br /> square foot clinic at 6848 Otter Lake Road. <br /> Chominoix Golf Clubhouse - is constructing a 2,850 <br /> square foot club house. The course is located in the Anoka <br /> County Rice Creek Chain of Lakes Park on Reshanau Lake. <br /> <br />RAMSEY <br />Retail Development - the city council has approved the site <br />plan for a retail development and car wash on Highway 47 and <br />County Road 116. This project will consist of two phases <br />totaling 30,000 square feet. Construction is expected to begin in <br />April. Also a 10,000 square foot office/retail manufacturing <br />center is being built at 7950 Riverdale Road. .......... : <br />Highway 10 Study - The city council is requesting proposals <br />for a study of current and future land use and development on its <br />Highway 10 corridor. <br />New Development Corporation - a local development <br />corporation has been formed by the city council to establish a <br />revolving loan fund for economic opportunities. This program <br />was set up with Community Development Block Grant money. <br /> <br /> SPRING LAKE PARK <br />Remodeling - The former Great Skate building is being <br />remodeled into a 10,000 square foot retail center to be named <br />Spring Plaza. The plaza is located on Central Avenue just north <br />of Osborne Road. <br />Office/Warehouse - Construction has begun on an <br />office/warehouse building by Amsterdam Properties on the 8300 <br />block on University Avenue. It will include a muffler center and <br />office and storage space for Amsterdam Properties. <br /> <br /> <br />
