Coon Rapids Continued... Bartley Supply Company - Banley-Lindsay Corp., has started construction on their 80,000 square foot distribution facility at 9445 East River Road. Completion is expected by July. Coon Rapids Square - a 40,000 square foot shopping center located on Coon Rapids Boulevard near 11 lth Avenue N.W. is expected to open in March. Model Engineering - construction of a 12,000 square foot manufacturing facility at Xeon Boulevard and 114th Lane was completed in November. Majestic Woodworking - construction of a 5,000 square foot cabinet shop at the intersection of Xeon and 114th Avenue was complctcd in late fall. MFI - is nearing completion of its 90,000 square foot production facility on Northdale Boulevard. The facility will complement its existing 48,000 square foot facility across the street and the two buildings will house all of the MFI operations in Minnesota. MaKay Lincoln Mercury - has completed construction of its 23,000 square foot auto dealership on Coon Rapids Boulevard and Reisling. Travel Suites Motel - an 89 unit motel adjacent to Tequilaberry's Restaurant is under construction at the intersection of Coon Rapids Boulevard and Highway 10. The motel is expected to open in March. The Gaughan Companies - currently is constructing its third office building complex at the intersection of Coon Rapids Boulevard, Highway 10 and University Avenue and is also adjacent to Tequilaberry's Restaurant. This complex will consist of 32,000 square feet of lease space. Brown's Meadow Manor - is expected to begin construction this spring on a 195 unit, $10,500,000 aparunent complex at Hanson Boulevard and 121st. Reisllng Park Towers - a two-tower, six story facility containing 140 rental units at a cost of approximately $7,500,000 and will be located at Coon Rapids Boulevard and Reisling Boulevard. FRIDLEY, Lake Pointe Corporate Center - is an office complex proposed at the intersection of Central Avenue and Interstate 694. The project is expected to be built over a 15 year period. University Avenue - from 45th Avenue to 85th Avenue will undergo a five year plan to give the corridor a visual renovation to complement the private redevelopment to date and to stimulate additional private development projects. This project calls for landscaping, decorative walkways at intersections, better signage, visually pleasing street lights, improved overhead signals, covered bus shelters, and gateways established at the north and south entrances to the city. The first phase is expected to begin this spring. Winfield Development - will complete construction of a 55,000 square foot warehouse and office complex to be located on University Avenue. Northtown Plaza - The Wholesale Club opened this fall at University Avenue and 81st Street. It is the fu'st phase ora 258,000 square foot retail center being built by Vantage Companies. University Industrial Park - Paschke Properties has completed a 28,000 square foot industrial complex. LINO LAKES Rice Lakes Estates - Construction began last fall on water and sewer extensions to the Rice Lakes Estates, a 100 plat housing subdivision located at the intersection of Highway 49 and Lake Drive. Prices will range from $80,000 to $130,000. South Reshanau Lake Estates - is a 162 home housing subdivision platted for development. It is located on Birch Street, two miles east of the intersection of Birch Street and Highway 49 and is being built by G.M. Development. Dennis Erickson Second Addition - a housing subdMsion of 78 homes is being proposed by Dennis Erickson on Birch Street. It is located on 37 acres just south of Black Duck Drive. Tax Increment District - The city council approved the city's first tax increment financing area. The city will be capturing the increment off the Rice Lake Estates housing subdivision and anticipates using the increment to fund sewer and water projects in Lino Lakes, thereby assisting new commercial development. ' ' "- Schwans Ice Cream - located at 7698 Lake Drive built a new 3,108 square foot addition which will include office and warehouse facilities. Klosner-Goertz - built a new 5,796 square foot mini-storage building in the Lino Industrial Park at 448 Lilac Street. Klosner- Goertz also built a 4,116 square foot office and warehouse facility at 432 Lilac Street. Nickelson Plumbing and Heating - built a 3,108 square foot office and warehouse building at 7540 Fourth Avenue. Wayne Scanlan Veterinary Clinic- completed a 4,050 square foot clinic at 6848 Otter Lake Road. Chominoix Golf Clubhouse - is constructing a 2,850 square foot club house. The course is located in the Anoka County Rice Creek Chain of Lakes Park on Reshanau Lake. RAMSEY Retail Development - the city council has approved the site plan for a retail development and car wash on Highway 47 and County Road 116. This project will consist of two phases totaling 30,000 square feet. Construction is expected to begin in April. Also a 10,000 square foot office/retail manufacturing center is being built at 7950 Riverdale Road. .......... : Highway 10 Study - The city council is requesting proposals for a study of current and future land use and development on its Highway 10 corridor. New Development Corporation - a local development corporation has been formed by the city council to establish a revolving loan fund for economic opportunities. This program was set up with Community Development Block Grant money. SPRING LAKE PARK Remodeling - The former Great Skate building is being remodeled into a 10,000 square foot retail center to be named Spring Plaza. The plaza is located on Central Avenue just north of Osborne Road. Office/Warehouse - Construction has begun on an office/warehouse building by Amsterdam Properties on the 8300 block on University Avenue. It will include a muffler center and office and storage space for Amsterdam Properties.
