Mr. Loabnch indicated he is the owner's brother. He stated they' just purchased the property four <br />weeks ago. and their business address is in Elk River. He indicated they are not operating a <br />business there. He stated it is in their plans ro build a 10,000 square foot warehouse building in <br />another location in Ramsev. :- <br /> <br />Mr. Loabnch indicated they have clean containers with heavy equipment, and need s6mewhere to <br />store then. He stated if Mr. Lvnnes is saying he saw cars there in the last two weeks it is.because <br />they have been making sure the property ts secure and evewthing is locked up, since they.just <br />bought the property. He advised the reason they asked for a four year permit is because they-are <br />building a 10,000 square toot building and will be able ro:.:store the items there until the new":~._' <br />facility is completed. <br /> <br />Associate Planner Wold advised that subsequent to Mr. Lynes site plan approval, City Code was <br />revised. She stated the way City Code reads noTM, outdoor storage.is permitted as a main use, <br />with conditions. ":' <br /> <br />Chairperson Nixr added that given that, they would normally.~ant approval unless there were <br />Unusual c~rcumstances. He asked if the applicant would put down' Class 5 mater/al. <br /> <br />Mr. Loabnch stated they already have'Class 5 there. He indicated they bring these containers to <br />the site and leave them there, addi.ng that two containers are full of scaffolding. <br /> <br />Commissioner Johnson asked when thev were proposing to start the warehouse. <br /> <br />Mr. Loabnch indicated probably next year.. <br /> <br />Commissioner Johnson .asked what the lone ten,n use is for this property. <br /> <br />Mr. Loabnch stated he does not know. He indicated they may build something on tr. He noted <br />they own a lot of property in Ramsey. <br /> <br />Chairperson Nixt noted that given the 'land use, the applicant could be asking for more, in the <br />way of a conditional use pertain rather than an interim use pen,nit. <br /> <br />Associate Planner Wold a~eed that they could. <br /> <br />Commissioner Johnson asked i~' it is conceivable tha~ when construction starts on the warehouse <br />they will move some of this equipment, and ir'they anrimpate needing an extension after the four <br />years. <br /> <br />Mr. Loabnch indicated when the warehouse IS done they will move all of it.
