Permits to access Hw~7. ~10 from Dayton Port have been received from Mn/DoT. The hearing between the City and Burlington Northern to establish Dayton Port as a public crossing has been postponed from December 8 to some time in January; the scheduling of hearing dates are beyond the City's control. Mr. Hartley stated that Burlington Northern has also agreed to prepare a map indicating possible alternate alignments for relocating the railroad tracks. Case ffl0: Findings Of Fact And Conditional Use Permit For Waste Management Of Minnesota. Inc.: Motion by Councilmember Cox and seconded by Councilmember Pearson to adopt Findings of Fact 0190 regarding Waste Management of, Minnesota, Inc.'s request for an extension of it's mining and excavating conditional use permit. (Please refer to findings of fact file for Findings of Fact 0190). Motion carried. Voting Yes: M~or Reimann, Councilmembers Sorteberg, Cox, DeLuca and Fearson. ~oting ~o: None. Motion by Councilmember Cox and seconded by Councilmember DeLuca to extend the November 25, 1985 Waste Management of Minnesota, Inc.'s mining and excavating conditional use permit to May 16. 1988 based on Findings of Fact 01 90 adopted on this date on this subject . Motion carried. Voting Yes: Mayor Reimann, Councilmembers aorta>erg, Cox, DeLuca and ~earson. Voting No: None. Mr. Hartley stated that staff will be meeting with representatives of Waste Management of Minnesota, Inc. to refine their proposal for vertical expansion and development of a ski hill. Councilmember Cox stated that Mr. Goodrich should review that final proposal and make a report to City Council. Council directed city staff to prepare an ordinance amendment establishing the commencement date for conditional use permits as the date of actual issuance and not the 6ate of application. ~ Recuest FOr Anthori~ation To ~ire Economic Develo=ment Intern To Complete Star Cit~.,,Tasks; Economic Development Commission member, Steve Gorecki, was present and stated that the city has been involved in an attempt to gain Star City status for almost two >,ears. EDC has appointed a committee to coordinate the tasks and is in need of a part-time person for a 6 month period to assist in the various tasks and compile i~formation gathered. The Commission is recommending that Yvonne Outran, a Ramsey Resident and one of the coordinators of the Eamsey Business Expo, be hired to assist in the Star City effort.
