confident with the pricing. Councilmember Shryock stated that the City has a long relationship
with this group, the price is fair and therefore would have supported extending this contract
further. Mayor Strommen asked if the City would go out for RFP after the contract expiration or
whether the RFP process would begin sooner in order to have a contract in place before
expiration. City Administrator Ulrich clarified that the City would go out for RFP before the
contract extension. Councilmember LeTourneau stated that the City does have a good
relationship with this firm but it would make sense to go through an RFP process.
Motion carried. Voting Yes: Mayor Strommen, Councilmembers Kuzma, LeTourneau, Johns,
Riley, Shryock, and Williams. Voting No: None.
7.02: Consider Adoption of Resolution #16-07-137 Approving Preliminary Plat of COR
THREE North Commons; Case of Purmort Homes, Inc. (Project No. 16-63)
Community Development Director Gladhill reviewed the staff report and recommendation to
adopt Resolution #16-07-137 approving the Preliminary Plat of COR THREE North Commons,
contingent upon revisions as outlines in the Staff Review Letter.
Councilmember Kuzma asked if there would be an option to widen the road.
Community Development Director Gladhill stated that perhaps the road could be widened a bit
but noted that this site is already challenged because of the soil conditions and that would put
additional pressure on the developer. He stated that it does not seem necessary from an
engineering standpoint and instead would seem logical to post the road no parking if that is the
desire.
Councilmember LeTourneau stated that this is a difficult site to develop and is encouraged that
this is an attractive option for this site.
Motion by Councilmember LeTourneau, seconded by Councilmember Williams, to Adopt
Resolution #16-07-137 Granting Preliminary Plat Approval of COR THREE North Commons.
Further discussion: Councilmember Riley echoed the comment that this site has been difficult
and wanted to keep the process moving forward.
Motion carried. Voting Yes: Mayor Strommen, Councilmembers LeTourneau, Williams, Johns,
Kuzma, Riley, and Shryock.
