Councilmember Riley asked for additional information on funding. <br />Asst. City Administrator/Economic Development Manager Brama stated that after the land <br />transaction took place there were some upfront costs that were paid for and explained how the <br />land proceeds and Anoka County HRA funds would come into play. <br />The consensus of the Council was to move ahead with the three-part staff recommendation <br />included in the staff report. <br />2.03: 2016 Ramsey Citizen Survey <br />Asst. City Administrator/Economic Development Manager Brama reviewed the staff report. <br />Mayor Strommen returned to the meeting. <br />Councilmember Kuzma commended Asst. City Administrator/Economic Development Manager <br />Brama on the thorough presentation. <br />Councilmember LeTourneau stated that the items that were shown as concerns are items that the <br />City has identified in the Strategic Plan and asked if perhaps the residents were not aware of that. <br />Councilmember Shryock stated that perhaps the residents are aware but the process is just taking <br />longer than expected and therefore education would come into play. <br />Mayor Strommen stated that this presentation was very helpful and noted that this information <br />can be used by the Council when making decisions and planning for the future as well as for <br />comparisons in the future. <br />Councilmember LeTourneau stated that there are a lot of things already in place to change the <br />image of the City and discussions could occur as to how to enhance that image further. <br />3. TOPICS FOR FUTURE DISCUSSION <br />3.01: Review Future Topics/ Calendar <br />Councilmember Kuzma stated that he has concerns regarding the Andrie Street project. He <br />stated that there is an issue with sprinklers, noting that there has been some contention between <br />the contractor and residents. He stated that the City has promised to deliver on that item but has <br />not been able to. <br />Mayor Strommen left the meeting. <br />Councilmember Kuzma stated that the City has stated that they will replace sprinkler heads but <br />noted that they are located in the right-of-way and he would like a policy in place that would <br />specify that the City will not replace sprinkler heads that have been placed in the right-of-way. <br />City Council Work Session / August 23, 2016 <br />Page 4 of 6 <br />
