PARK AND RECREATION COMMISSION <br />CITY OF RAMSEY <br />~NOK~ COUNTY <br /> STATE OP MINNESOTA <br /> <br />A regular meeting of the Park and Recreation Commission was held on <br />Thursday, May 14, 1987 at the Ramsey Municipal Center, 15153 Nowthen <br />Blvd., NW, Ramsey, Minnesota. <br /> <br />MEMBERS PRESENT: <br /> <br />Ron ~etl and <br />Bill Rustad <br />Janice Johnson <br />John Lichter <br /> <br />ALSO PRESENT: <br /> <br />Claudia Dodge <br />Anne Norris <br />Elvin Erickson <br /> <br />The meeting was called to order by Commissioner Hetland at 7:05 p.m. The <br /> <br />There was no citizen input. <br /> <br /> Council and Planning and Zoning Commission Meeting Minutes <br />City <br /> were <br />noted. <br /> <br />Commissioner Johnson arrived at 7:10 p.m. Chairman Lichter arrived at 7:20 <br />p.m. <br /> <br />Motion by Commisisoner Hetland, seconded by Commissioner Rustad to <br />approve the minutes of the April meeting. Motion carried. <br /> <br />COMMISSION BUSINESS <br /> <br />CASE 1: Discussion regarding park improvements. <br /> <br />There is approximately $125,000 balance in the park budget for development <br />of parks. It is a build up from previous years and Anne Norris said the funds <br />will continue to grow but not as fast. The amount per year is based on fees <br />collected. Anne Norris said the Commission needs a 5 year plan before <br />approaching the City Council for additional funds and they can't count on <br />grants. $70,000 has already been committed to Central Park. Claudia Dodge <br />requested the Commission look at all the parks before making a decision. <br />Discussion followed regarding cost of various improvements at the parks. <br /> <br /> <br />
