Recommendation of the Commission is: $10,000 for Ramsey School playground, <br /> $12,000 reserved to match funds for River's Bend, <br /> Central Park: Warming house $20,000 <br /> Parking $ 8,000 <br /> 2 hockey rinks with lights $20,000 <br /> with volunteer labor <br /> Athletic field $10,000 <br /> Football goal posts $ 3,000 <br /> $7,500 for lights at Titterud Tennis courts <br /> $30,000 remaining for other parks and other contingencies <br /> and engineering and irrigations <br /> <br />Claudia Dodge requested that the park subcommittee meet to plan for other <br />parks. <br /> <br />Motion by Commissioner Johnson, seconded by Commissioner Rustad, to <br />recommend the above improvements to the City Council and reserve $30,000 <br />for other parks and miscellaneous expenses. Motion carried. <br /> <br />CASE 2: Discussion regarding 1988 budget. <br /> <br />Chairman Lichter asked Anne Norris to summarize the 5 year plan. <br />Suggestion made to designate someone to work with the council on the <br />budget. Commissioner Hetland will do this', Claudia Dodge will be the <br />alternate. <br /> <br />Clauda Dodge requested money designated for expanding the teen program, <br />especially for grades 5 and 6. Commissioner Lichter suggested Dodge put a <br />proposal together and present it to the council for the budget. Claudia <br />indicated she needs part-time help to supervise the Teen Center and do <br />planning. <br /> <br />On May 26th a proposal will be presented to the City Council for expansion <br />of the Sandburg Middle School Community Education program and the Key <br />Communicator/Crime Prevention program. Plans are to hire a part-time <br />staff person to do programming at Sandburg and youth programming at <br />Ramsey and Claudia Dodge would coordinate the the Key Communicator <br />project and act as a trainer for Key communicators. <br /> <br />CASE 3: Discussion regarding reservations for Central Park fields. <br /> <br /> <br />
