Case 98.' Request For Conditional Use Permit To Operate Business From <br /> H~me~ Case Of Mr. Gary Ostlund: <br /> <br />Ms. Norris stated that Mr. 0stlund is currently storing business materials <br />in his garage; Planning and Zoning have reviewed the request and recommend <br />denial. <br /> <br />Motion by Councilmember Cox and seconded by Councilmember $orteberg to <br />adopt Findings of Fact 0161 relating to Mr. Gary Ostlund's request for a <br />conditional use permit. (Please refer to findings of fact file for <br />Findings of Fact 0161). <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Mayor Reimann, Councilmembers Sorteberg, Cox, <br />DeLuca and Pearson. Voting No: None. <br /> <br />Mr. Ostlund disputed the fact that he is operating a business from his <br />home; all work is done off the premises except for phone calls; his two <br />business vans are parked at his home site and driven to job sites. <br /> <br />Council consensus was that in accordance with City Code, Mr. 0stlund should <br />locate his business elsewhere, allowing him until June 1, 1987 to do so. <br />Council stated that Mr. 0stlund could park one business vehicle at his home <br />property. <br /> <br />Motion by Councilmember DeLuca and seconded by Councilmember Sorteberg to <br />deny Mr. Gary 0stlund's request for a conditional use permit to operate an <br />electrical contracting business from his home at 14290 Alpaca Street N.W., <br />allowing Mr. Ostlund until June 1, 1987 to locate his business elsewhere <br />and cease operation of it at his present home address. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Mayor Reimann, Councilmembers Sorteberg, Cox, <br />DeLuca and Pearson. Voting No: None. <br /> <br />Case #9: Request For Conditional Use' Permit To 0oerate Beauty Salon <br /> From Home: Case Of Ms. Debra Dubois: <br /> <br />Motion by Councilmember Cox and seconded by Councilmember DeLuca to adopt <br />Findings of Fact 0162 relating to Ms. Debra Dubois' request for a <br />conditional use permit. (Please refer to findings of fact file for <br />Findings of Fact 0162). <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Mayor Reimann, Councilmembers Sorteberg, Cox, <br />DeLuca and Pearson. Voting No: None. <br /> <br />Motion by Councilmember Cox and seconded by Councilmember Pearson to <br />approve Ms. Debra Dubois' request for a conditional use permit to operate a <br />beauty salon from her home at 15030 Willemite Street N.W. <br /> <br />Further Discussion: Ms. Dubois stated that there will be no advertising <br />signs displayed on her property. <br /> <br />Motion carried.
