"Keep A,r~rica l~autiful' Week:

Mr. Terry Miller was present representing the Pamsey Jaycees and they are
organizing some events to recognize April 27 - Pay 2 as Keep America
Beautiful Week in Ramsey. Those events include painting the 4 'City of
Ramsey' signs, a recylcing day on Fay 2 in cooperation with Waste Pan~t
of Minnesota, Inc., distributing litter bags indicating Keep America
Beautiful Week in Ramsey. The Jaycees are also trying to negotiate with
Waste ~t of Minnesota, Inc. for another Ramsey Clean Up Day.

Motion by Councilmember Cox and seconded by Gouncilms~ber Pearson granting
the Ramsey Jaycees appr(wal to place the City logo on litter bags to be
distributed at Ramsey and Franklin Ele~etary Schools during Keep America
Beautiful Week.

Further Discussion: Mr. Miller stated that the bags will contain the Keep
America Beautiful logo, City of Ramsey logo and Waste Management of

Motion carried. Voting Yes.. Payor Reimann, Councilm~mbers Sorteberg, Cox,

Case~3.. Aeration Of Sunfish take:

Mr. Tom Kurak was present representing property ~ners around Sunfish Lake
who are interested in developing an aeration system to restore the lake.
The property (~ners would pay for the aeration equilm~nt and stocking the
lake with fingerlings; they are requesting that the City obtain the annual
aeration permit from DNR. The benefit to the City would be that the
restored lake would result in higher property value and produce an
increased tax base.

Mr. Raatikka stated that DNR says that the aeration permit holder would
also be responsible for aeration insurance. Aerated lakes don't freeze
well and there is a drowning hazard with thin ice.

Mayor Reimann stated that the restored lake would be an asset but the City
would have to research insurance requirements and give consideration to
spending public money on a lake with no public access.

Mr. Kurak stated that the City would have the right to condemnation to gain
public access to Sunfish Lake.

Mayor Reimann requested that staff research the subject of aeration
insurance and report back to Council at the next regular meet/ng.

Case %4.. Request For Final Plat Approval Of Autumn Meadows; Case Of

Mr. Ken Johnson:

Motion by Councilmember Cox and seconded by Council~her DeLuca to adopt
Resolution %87-45 approving the final plat of Autumn Meadows.
