Mr. Oraczyk stated that about 40% of the fire ca/ls bllled tn 1985 were <br />successful. <br /> <br />Council tabled further action on this case until the next regular Council <br />meeting at which time Mr. Graczyk should have information available <br />regarding the success rate of 1986 fire call billings. <br /> <br />Probationary Period Cc~p_letion Of Jan Bye: <br /> <br />Motion by Councilmember Cox and seoonded by Councilmmmber DeLuca to retain <br />Ms. Jan Bye as a regular full-time employee and declare Ms. Bye's six month <br />probationary period as being satisfactorily oc~pleted. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Mayor Reimann, Councilm~rs Sorteberg, Cox, <br />DeLuca and Pearson. Voting No: None. <br /> <br />Authorize Seeking_ Landfill Abatement Grant Funds~ <br /> <br />Mr. Bartley requested authorization to prepare an application, jointly with <br />the City of Medina, for 100% grant assistance to evaluate landfill impacts <br />on host communities and propose legislation. <br /> <br />Motion by Councilm~nber Cox and seconded by Councilm~mber DeLuca to adopt <br />Resolution %87-22 authorizing the City Administrator to apply for planning <br />assistance grant funds from the Metropolitan Council. (Please refer to <br />resolution file for Resolution %87-22). <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Mayor Reimann, Councilm~mbers Sorteberg, COx, <br />DeLuca and Pearson. Voting No: None. <br /> <br />Landfill Co~mission _A~oo_ intments: <br /> <br />Mayor Reimann requested staff to forward another copy of the commission <br />applications to councilmembers for further review and place Landfill <br />C~ssion Appointments on the next regular Council meeting agenda. <br /> <br />Case %32: Consider Chang_e Order No. 3 To Municipal Well <br /> <br />Mr. ~aatikka stated that at the December 16, 1986 Council meeting, Change <br />Order NO. 2 was ordered for long term pu~ping to c/ear up sand problems at <br />Municipal Well NO. 2; that action failed to c/ear up the'sand problems. Mr. <br />Paatikka recommended installation of a screen and gravel pack at Well No. 2 <br />for $10,412. <br /> <br />Motion by Councilmember Sorteberg and seconded by Councilm~mber Pearson to <br />approve Change Order No. 3 authorizing E. ~. Renner and Sons to install a <br />screen and gravel pack in Municipal Well NO. 2. <br /> <br />Further Discussion: Mayor Reimann inquired if this would be the last <br />change order for Well No. 2. Mr. Hartley replied that the well will be <br />fully developed with the installation of the screen and gravel pack. <br /> <br />Motion carried.
