Board <br />3035 Sprague <br />Anoka, Mn. 55303 <br /> <br />Butch Brandenburg <br />Superintendent, Parks, Recreation <br /> and Maintenance <br />2015 1st Avenue <br />Anoka, }~. 55303 <br /> <br />The purpose of this last Quad Cities meeting was to review the comments <br />offered by each respective governmental agency concerning the position <br />statement drafted by the Quad Cities Recreation Advisory Committee.on <br />April 16, 1984. <br /> <br />Butch Brandenburg had available for the review of the Quad Cities mem- <br />bers the regular meeting minutes of the Anoka City Council held in the <br />Council Chambers of the City Mall building on May 4, 1984. (See attach- <br />ment A). <br /> <br />Merle Prochniak handed out information which he had put together and <br />forwarded to the City Council, engineers and other Parks and Recrea- <br />tion Commission members. (See attachment B). Me also informed the <br />Board that he will continue the process of gathering information and <br />materials to compute the number of Andover participants in different <br />recreational programs from other communities such as Ham Lake, Coon <br />Rapids and Blaine. Upon further discussion, Mr. Prochniak handed out <br />the minutes of the first proposed meeting for the formation of the <br />Andover Athletic and Recreation Association. Members commented on the <br />tremendous job Mr. Prochniak has done in gathering this data and being <br />the first one from Andover to actually follow through with the prepara- <br />tion of the facts regarding facilities and the use demands by Andover <br />residents and also in attempting to establish an Andover Athletic and <br />Recreation Association.
