I I I Minutes - Quad Cities MeetinE May 21, 1984 PaEe Two Mr. Dennis Donovan from the City of Ramsey reported that their Parks and Recreation Advisory Council has had a workshop setting with the Ramsey City Council and discussed the Position Statement and information. He stated that both bodies were very receptive to the ide~ and findings and Position Statement by the Quad Cities Recreational Board. He stated that they discussed the main needs for recreation facilities and agreed they should continue to develop their central park in three phases where com- pletion of the facility can be available to the public in the very near future. Mr. Donovan also informed the Board that he has applied for a grant for the lighting of their ballfields and soccer facilities at Central Park. Mr. Donovan asked if Mr. Brandenburg could contact Mr. Jambois to see what priority their application may have compared to other rural centers. All the members agreed that a quarterly meeting of the Quad Cities Recrea- tion Advisory Board would be very beneficial to all the neighboring com- munities whereby the facilities are jointly used by members of each com- munity in different recreation programs. The purpose would be to update the different members of development and program status, as well as keep- ing the lines of communication open and working with each other for the betterment of the recreational programs for the residents of each respec- tive community. Therefore, Butch was asked if he would contact and arrange a meeting for the members of the Quad Cities Recreational Board in approximately three or four months.
