Pursuant to the Ramse~ City Code Sections 170.016D, <br />170.016E and 170.016F, the Commission has considered the applica- <br />tion of Waste Management for a Conditional Use Permit. <br /> <br />The Nature of the Land upon Which the Use is to be <br />Located. <br /> <br /> 9. A portion of the South 70 is currently being used for <br />purposes of providing daily cover and borrow material for the <br />Anoka/Ramsey Landfill. These areas are presently below normal <br />grades of surrounding terrain. It is also being used as a <br />storage area for the materials which are used for the impermeable <br />cap on the current Anoka/Ramsey Landfill. Areas which are not <br />being used for either of those purposes are open land and wetland <br />areas. (June 25, 1984 testimony of Henry Koch; aerial photo- <br />graphs of site presented 6/25/84.) The South 70 is currently <br />zoned industrial as set forth in the City of Ramsey Zoning Map, <br />the permitted uses of which include manufacturing, research <br />laboratories, testing laboratories, offices, supply yards, <br />warehousing, truck terminals and public parking.
