He further testified that <br />the proposed expansion to the north would render several houses <br />unsaleable. These houses, which are on Garnett Street, include <br />some of the most valuable houses in the area. Many other nearby <br />residents complained that the value of their properties had been <br />reduced because of the proximity of the landfill. <br /> <br /> The proposed landfill expansion would be detrimental to <br />persons residing or working in the vicinity of the landfill and <br />to the public welfare and would substantially impair the use, <br />enjoyment and value of adjacent properties.
