However, to fill vacancy <br />of position on a temporary basis, Council would have to appoint him by <br />resolution untila permanent appointment would be made. In no situation <br />would there be any change made in administering City policy by the Director <br />of Technical Services. <br /> <br />6) Performs other work as required. <br /> <br />REQUIREMENTS; <br /> <br />1) <br /> <br />Education: Associate of Arts Degree in Administration or demonstrated <br />exceptional abilities. Good mathematical ability in algebra and trigonometry. <br />College training in engineering and business area desirable. <br /> <br />Z) Experience of 3 to 5 years in building construction, engineering and surveying <br /> field and at least 2 years in superwisory capacity. <br /> <br />3) Ability to read and interpret plans and specifications for buildings, public <br /> utilities (water and sanitary sewer), streets and storm sewer. <br /> <br />4) Extensive ability to organize, coordinate and schedule diverse activities in <br /> line with priorities. <br /> <br />5) Ability to communicate ideas clearly both orally and in writing and to work <br /> effectively with City officials and the general public. <br /> <br />6) Ability to supervise and motivate employees. <br /> <br /> <br />
