ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT COMMISSION'S RECOMMENDED USES OF CDBG FUNDS: As you know, Anoka County was allocated B.U.D. Community Development Block Grant funds. From that allocation, an entitlement of a certain amount is made to the City of Ramsey. ~hese funds will be available in 1985. To get these funds, the City has to identify specific eli- gible activities. You will recall that you referred this to the Eco- nomic Develol~nent Commission to determine how the funds should be ex- ~[he Economic Develol~nent Commission met with the Chairpersons of the Planning and Zoning Cor~r~ission, Park and Recreation Commission and Airport Cc~mission for their input. The Commission came up witb a list of activities involving economic develol~nent in Ramsey. The priorities of the Co~nission were to assist in the develoi~nent of the southeast p~rtion of the industrial zone and the property in the south east oorner of the City, along T.H. 47. Enclosed as (D2-i) is a proposed resolution for your consideration in this matter. Oouncil Action: Your action w]ll be to approve/disapprove of the proposed uses for Oommunity Development Block Grant funds.
