- 25 - <br /> <br />CONTRACT <br /> <br />A contract for disposal and treatment of the sewage wastes shall be maintained <br />by the homeowner or pumper with a m~nicipality, agency or firm established for <br />that purpose. <br /> <br />ACCIDENTAL <br /> <br />Holding tanks shall be monitored to minimize the chance of accidental sewage <br />overflows. Techniques such as visual observation, warning lights or bells, or <br />regularly scheduled pumping shall be installed which allows twenty-five per cent <br />(25%) reserve capacity after actuation. <br /> <br />Subd. 5 <br /> <br />Where unusual conditions exist, special systems of treatment and disposal other <br />than those specifically mentioned above may be employed, provided: <br /> <br />Reasonable assurance of performance of such system is <br />presented to the council; <br />The engineering design of such system is first approved by <br />the pl~_~m~ing inspector; <br />There is no discharge to the ground surface or to surface <br />waters; <br />Treatment and disposal of wastes is in such a manner so as to <br />protect the public health and general w~lfare; <br />Such systems comply with all applicable requirements of these <br />standards and with all local codes and ordinances; <br />Design criteria is reported to the agency within one (1) <br />month after installation of the system, where use of such <br />system is allowed by the council; <br />Performance of such system be monitored and reported to the <br />agency annually for a period of at least five (5) years after <br />installation, including continual monitoring of water used <br />(See Chmpter 150.014H Subd. 2). <br /> <br />No setback requirement shall be imposed in the 1990 Urban Area, except in cases <br />where drainfields are installed on proprty sloping greater than four (4) feet <br />horizontal to one (1) foot vertical. In cases where said slopes are greater <br />than 4:1, no drainfield trench shall be located closer than six (6) feet from <br />the grotmd surface as mmasured horizontally from the trench bottom. <br /> <br />I <br />I <br />i <br />I <br /> <br />150.015 INSPECTION <br /> <br />150.015A Nt~ CONSTRUCTION <br /> <br />The plumbing inspector shall rake such inspection or inspections as are <br />necessary to determine compliance with this chapter. No part of the system <br />shall be covered until it has been inspected and accepted by the pl,~hing <br />inspector. It shall be the responsibility of the applicant for the permit to <br />notify the plumbing inspector that the job is ready for inspection or <br />reinspection, ~ndit shall be the duty of the plumbing inspector to mske the <br /> <br /> <br />
