Testing will be performed for the parameters listed in Table ! during each of the sampling periods. The results of the groundwater quality tests will be submitted to the County and the MPCA. 4. Methane Gas Monitoring Program The Anoka Sanitary tandfill site presently has a system of methane monitoring probes and an active syst m for removing and flaring off excess landfill gas. During the -closure period these systems will continue to be used. The methane gas monitoring probes will be ~6s~Ced"on-"a monthly i~basis~ These probes are located along the west and north property lines. The gas testing data will be submitted to the Department with the semi-annual inspection report. If the Department feels that the results of the monitoring reflect the necessity for more frequent monitoring, then changes will be made in the program. The active methane collection system will be operated during the post-closure period. At the end of the five (5) year period, the results of monitoring of the gas migration control system will be reviewed and the need for further gas control will be evaluated.
