I
I

CASE ~Z:

REQUEST FOR RENTAL OF FIRE BARN FOR DOG OBEDIENCE

I
I
I
I

I
1

CASE #3:

TRAINING; CASE OF COMPANION DOG TRAINING SERVICE:

Enclosure (D3-a) contains a letter dated April 11, 1984 from Companion
Dog Training Center requesting rental of the City fire barn area to conduct
dog obedience classes.

It should be noted that the Council has had a policy whereby the City's
non-profit organizations such as RYAA, the Jaycees, Girl and Boy Scouts,
etc., could use the Ramsey Municipal Center facilities at no cost. We
currently use the fire barn area to park City vehicles (Staff cars, water
truck and police squads) not in use at night. Non-profit organizations
use this facility several times throughout the year.

Consequently, if you do rent out the fire barn facility, we will be creating
a storage problem for City equipment.

Council Action: This is a policy decision to make if we are going to start
renting any part of the municipal center to the private sector. If so, we
had better establish a rental rate and a policy on the renting of the Ramsey
Municipal Center.

REQUEST FOR VACATION OF DRAINAGE EASEMENT ON LOT 12, BLOCK

4, OAKRIDGE ESTATES; CASE OF F. H. ENTERPRISES:

Enclosure (D3-b) contains the public hearing notice which the City Attorney
had published. It should be noted that there was not a mailed notice to
citizens regarding the public hearing as it is not required by statute.

The purpose of this is to correct the present drainage easement that is
on this piece of property (Lot 1Z, Block 4, Oakridge Estates).

Council Action: Your action will be to adopt a resolution correcting the
present easement on Lot 1Z, Block 4, Oakridge Estates. The following
proposed motion is hereby submitted for your consideration:

Motion by / i and seconded by ~~?/! !~6 adopt Resolution
#84-__ correcting drainage easement on Lot 1Z, Block 4, Oakridge
Estates. Please refer to resolution file for Resolution ~84- .

Motion carried. Voting yes
Voting no .

CASE ~4: CABLE T.V. REGARDING RATES:

We have not received the material on this from Mr. Creighton, so I have
removed it from the agenda. This was a published agenda item in the
paper.

Council Action: Your action will be to note why it was removed from
the agenda.
