Ramsey Second Interceptor NCC 83-62
EAW - May, 1984

The length of the interceptor to be constructed by the Metropolitan Waste
Control Co~u,~ission (M~CC) is .6 miles or approximately 3200 feet. The total
length Of the 33" diameter trunk sewer to be installed by the City of Ramsey
is approximately 1540 feet. In addition, 1430 feet of 12" diameter subtrunk
and 4000 feet of 8" lateral sewer will be constructed in Ramsey, in the
proposed Flintwood Hills Second Addition subdivision. The depth of the
trench excavation in which the Ramsey Second Interceptor will be installed
will vary between 25 and 35 feet, with a consequent excavation width of 50
to 70 feet. The Ramsey 33" trunk sewer will be 20-24 feet deep, requiring
excavation widths of 40 to 50 feet. The sub-trunk sewer will be installed
at a depth of 15-20 feet, with trench widths of 30-40 feet, and the sewer
laterals will be installed at depths of 10-15 feet, in trenches 20-30 feet
in width. Both the 33" trunk and the 12" sub-trunk will eventually be ex-
tended to other areas within the Rum River watershed in Ramsey (see item 22).
The routes of all sewers laterals and trunks will eventually be paved roads.
