Page 3

After considerable difficulty with ground water, Arcon reconnected a
new riser pipe. Roto Rooter was called back and jetted the service to
the mainline (about 70') and washed down the service and main with the
balance of the water on their truck (about 500 gallons). Dick Carson
signed Roto Rooter's invoice.

Arcon completed the service hookup to the house at the plumber's
request. The service lines were insulated (2" thick) and backfilled
as well as possible. Ballast rock (1-1/2" clear) was used around the
service. There were, however, large areas of cavitation under the
driveway and toward the house which could only be placed from the side
and could lead to considerable settlement.

Arcon's time and materials break down approximately as follows:

8 hrs. - 3 men (foreman, operator, bottom man).
8 hrs. - 1 235 Cat backhoe.
Other equipment - 2 submersible pumps, rental generator (theirs quit).
Materials - 24 T 1-1/2" clear ballast rock, 12'of 4" service pipe,
fittings (2 each 45 degree bends, 1 Fernco coupling 4"), 4 sheets 1"
polystyrene insulation.
Mobilization and demobilization.

House residents were told to trickle some water through their water
and sewer services for a few days until the ground water comes back
up. Also, that the area around the service and the driveway will
probably settle severely in the spring.
