The Economic Development Commissior, and the City <br />Staff have reviewed these requests and discussed possible financing <br />use of tax incre~ent financing. However, at a recent ~eeting with <br />Evenson-Dodge and Mr. Dave Ker~r~edy, the City's bond council, the Staff <br />was told that a short-term change in the law may allow the City to use <br />tax increment fir, ancing. To take advantage of this financing, the <br />City must be prepared to move quickly and proceed with the projects. <br /> <br />Ir, additior,~ Mate Punch and Die Company has indicated that they will <br />be forced to move out of the City, as sewer is not available to allow <br />fo~' their expansion ir~ the near future. <br /> <br />Therefore, the City Staff and EDC are recommending the City take the <br />first step ir, proceeding with the projects and order a feasibility <br />study for the project. Please refer to enclosure (B-4) for the EDC's <br />minutes dated February 12, 1986. The City Engineer has indicated that <br />he will update the existing feasibility, review alternate solutions <br />for providing sanitary sewer to Mate Punch and Die Company, estimate <br />storm sewer costs for the area and review the financing alternate <br />available for a cost not to exceed $2,000.
