Voting yes: Abstainir, g: Absent: Vet lng no: Item F: Street Between Eoon Marketing and Welsh Auto: The City has maintained this street for some time and therefore, under Minnesota law, it is a public street in a width used by the public including necessary drainage facilities. Econ Marketing is now nego- tiatir~g title to its property and it appears that the City's street should be surveyed sc, as to provide a proper legal description to establish its location and i~ order to obtain deed to this street. There is some confusior, regarding the street location in relation to Econ Marketing's property, Welsh's property and the private easement ir, this area. The cost of the survey is anticipated to be $500. Council Action: Your action will be to approve/disapprove the expenditure of up to $500 for the surveying of this street and to authorize the City's er~gineering firm to undertake this project. The following proposed motion is hereby submitted for your consideration: Motion by and seconded by to approve/ disapprove of authorizing the City's engineering firm of Hakanson Anderson Associates, Inc. to survey the street lying between Eco~ Marketing and Welsh Auto at a cost not to exceed $500. Voting yes: Abst a i n ing: Absent: Voting no: Item G: Uncompleted 1985 Sealcoatinq Pro,lects: As you may recall, last year two of the proposed sealcoating projects (#85-6 and #85-12) were petitioned agair~st by the residents and had to be dropped ir, accordance with the City Charter. City Staff is concerned that continued neglect of the maintenance of the streets may cause non-repairable deterioration. Therefore, the City Council may wish to reconsider these projects and conduct new poblic hearings on them. Enclosure (D2-n) contains the City Engineer's letter updatiog the costs for these two projects. Proposed resolutions for the two projects will be available at the meeting.
