Mr. Hart/ey stated that he ts oonoerned that this position ts filled as soon as possible. ~be Personnel Con~nittee directed that this case be placed on the February 25, 1986 Council ager~a with the request that Council authorize the Personnel Committee to participste tn the interviewing process and hire an individual for the position of Building Inspector. Mr. Bart/my stated that Kay McCullmy will be on the February 25, 1986 Council agenda requesting the status of the Oomparable Worth study. Council.member Reimann inquired as to the status of the police overtime issue. Mr. Hartley replied that he oonveyed the Personnel Committee's ~onoerns to Police G~ief Auspos and has requested a written reply from him on the subject. Mr. Bart/my referred to earlier discussions of Ms. Frolik's full-time status and inquired if his understanding is ~orrect in that he will have authority to utilize Ms. Frolik's servioes as necessary, even up to 40 hours a week. Councilmenber Reimann stated that Mr. Bartlmy's understanding is (~orrect and explained his ooncern with the high ~ost of ~overnment and the way in which it seems to always breed more needs. Mr. Bartley stated he shares Counci~r Reimann's o~ncerns and that is the reason he chose the profession of city administration. ~he Personnel Co~nittee authorized that the part-time hourly rate increase reomm~nded for MS.
