TO: Dave Rartley, City Administrator

FROM: Sheila Beyer, Deputy Clerk

RE: Purchase of equipment and furniture

DATE: April 15, 1986

I have received the following price quotations in regards to the

equipment and furniture needs for the City:

Desk and Return

Business Furniture

Acro-Ninnesota, Inc.

60 x 30 desk
typing return

60 x 30 desk
typing return

$367.00
$230.00

$296.40
$204.25

Business Furniture

Acro-Minnesota, Inc.

3-drawer 42"
3-drawer 42"

$303.50
$496.41

Business Furniture

Acro-Ninnesota, Inc.

78" high 36" wide
78" high 36" wide

$251.00
$167.29

Plat File Cabinet

Business Furniture

Acro-Hinnesota, Inc.

30 x 42 x 2 $438.00
30 x 42 x 2 $430.35

The above prices were obtained from two major suppliers of office
furniture and equipment of which both have been awarded contracts
by Hennepin County. Business Furniture carries strictly office
furniture and Acro-Minnesota carries office supplies as well as a
limited amount of office furniture. As you can see their prices
are competitive.

Based on the above price quotes received my recommendation is to
go with Acro-Minnesota on all items listed above except for the
file cabinet and that would be Business Furniture.
