REQUEST FO~ CONDITIONAL USB PERI/IT TO BOLD SAND DRAg RACES A~D HUD RUNS; CASB OF RAHSEY LIONS CLUB By: Anne Norris, Co~mmity Development Director CASE Background: The Ramsey Lions Club is requesting a conditional use permit to hold sand drag races and mud runs on the property located northeast of the intersection of County Road #116 and County Road ~56. The Lions are proposing to hold these events over June 21 and 22 and August 16 and 17, 1986. As you recall, the Lions have held similar operations in past years. The Planning and Zoning Commission conducted a public hearing on this request on April 1, 1986. Enclosed are the following items for your information: a) Application b) Site location map c) Public hearing notice d) Properties notified e) Proposed findings of fact f) Proposed conditional use permit agreement Observations: Staff recommends that the Council approve this request. The Planning and Zoning Commission also recommended approval of the Lions Club's request. Reconnendation: Council Action: Motion to: Adopt Findings of Fact 00 . relating to the Ramsey Lions Club's request for a conditional use permit. -and- Motion to: Approve the request by the Ramsey Lions Club for a conditional use permit to hold sand drag races and mud runs on June 2I and 22 and August 16 and 17, 1986, contingent upon the Lions Club entering into a conditional use permit agreement with the City.
