10 Minutes <br /> <br />STORM SEWER TAXING DISTRICTS <br />Dave Hartley, City Administrator <br /> <br />Background: <br /> <br />The City Council held a hearing to receive comment in favor of and opposed to <br />the establishment of the Mississippi River Drainage District and the Rum River <br />Drainage District. If it is the wishes of the City Council at this time, <br />action may be taken to establish by ordinance either or both of the proposed <br />drainage districts. <br /> <br />One specific request which was made at the public hearing was that of Mr. Lyle <br />McLaughlin requesting that a third district be established for the drainage <br />area affecting the River's Bend and Flintwood Hills properties. These <br />properties lie within the Rum River Drainage District and would therefore <br />necessitate a hearing on the amended Rum River Drainage District and the <br />proposed third drainage district.
