Presently, the City of Ramsey has a municipal water system on
the east side of the City which serves the River's Bend and
Flintwood Hills Second Addition developments. All other areas
of the City rely on private wells for water.

IV.

PROPOSED FACILITIES

Attached to this report are Exhibits B and C showing the pro-
posed facilities. These facilities will provide trunk water and
sanitary sewer service to the Industrial Service Area of the
City.

Sanitary Sewer

As shown on Exhibit B, it is proposed to extend a 30-inch
gravity sewer line westerly along the north side of the railroad
tracks to Azurite Street which is approximately 900 feet west of
Sunfish Lake Boulevard.

The portion of this line on the east side of Sunfish Lake
Boulevard was proposed to be a 36 inch and on the west side of
Sunfish Lake Boulevard was proposed to be a 33 inch, based on
the City's Comprehensive Sewer Plan. However, by increasing the
slope on the 30 inch line, the required design flow and capacity
is maintained. A detailed analysis of the area to be served by
the trunk using alternative alignments indicates that the
increase in slope on the first section of the proposed sewer
trunk line results in a minimal loss in elevation on the west

end of the trunk system.
