Economic and Finance Subcc~m__it~ <br /> <br />Ce <br /> <br />Publicity Subcommittee- Using Cable T.V. for <br />Economic Development, Development of Subcom- <br />mittee to Assist Prospective Businesses <br /> <br />CASE %2: <br /> <br />Representatives from the Minne~ot~a R~al ~h~ <br />{I~!!rn~] approached the cities of Anoka, Champlin and <br />l~amse¥ regarding the possibility of focusing on this <br />area for their April 14, 1986 Market Focus section. <br />The Market Focus series is a special monthly insert in <br />the ~ which focuses on a feature community/area <br />(some past featured communities include Shakopee, <br />Mankato/North ~ankato, St. Cloud, Brooklyn Park) and <br />includes stories on the various markets - commercial, <br />office, industrial, retail, apartment development, etc. <br />The Focus section is approximately a 20-page section <br />which includes 8-10 pages of advertising. ~ <br />staff is in the process of selling advertising space. <br />In addition, J~na] staff will write the stories, <br />but the City must oome up with topics for the articles. <br />In prior Focus editions, the featured community has <br />purchased advertising space. ~e cities of Anoka and <br />Champlin have already committed to a one-page ad each. <br />For your information and review, copies of the ~ <br />and other Market Focuses will be available at the <br />meeting. Also, Enclosure (D2-a) contains a letter <br />dated February 25, 1986 and flyer regarding the <br />~ and Market Focus Section. <br /> <br /> <br />
