ACTION <br /> <br />GENERAL GOVERNMENT <br /> <br />NEED: Method for dealing with potentially controversial issues before they <br />become a major controversy. <br /> <br />This need means predicting or planning what activities will be undertaken by <br />the City of Ramsey, other forms of government, or groups. Clearly, if we are <br />to take some action prior to some event, we must first know about that event. <br />Then the information about that event must be made known to others. <br /> <br />ACTION TEAM: The following persons are members of the "A~tion Team" and will <br />contribute in their own way to seeking a solution to the NEED. <br /> <br />Primary Coordinator <br />Secondary Coordinator <br /> <br />Dave Hartley, City A~iministrator <br />Anne Norris, Community Development Dir. <br /> <br />Mike tmspos <br />Noel Graczyk <br />Bill Goodrich <br />Pete Raatikka <br />Merle Mevissen <br /> <br />Chief of Police <br />Finance Officer <br />City Attorney <br />City Engineer <br />Public Works Director <br /> <br />OBJECTIVE: As members of the Action Team you are asked to: <br /> <br />1) Continually monitor the events which may affect the City of Ramsey <br /> and advise the City Council, Commissions, and the public about the <br /> possible effect of these events. <br /> <br />Develop a reliable source of information for the public to call <br />upon. <br /> <br />3) Recommend a variety of ways for handling controversy which will <br /> lead to a resolution or diffusion of controversy. <br /> <br />4) Hold open workshops on conflict resolution. <br /> <br />ACTION: This team is made up of entirely City Staff and shall serve as the <br />"Watch Dog" for the community. Since this responsibility is never-ending, the <br />team shall serve continuously.
