Motion by Councilmember CDx and seconded by Mayor l~eitman to adopt Resolution ~85-71 for Change Order No. 1 to Improvement Projects t84-20 and t84-21 S.A.P. ]99-101-07 and S.A.P. 199-106-07. (Please refer to resolution file for Resolution ~85-71). Motion carried. Voting Yes: Mayor }teitman, Councilma~rs Sorteberg, Cox, Reimann and Schlueter. Voting No: None. Cm~e t5~ Informationa]~ A) Anoka County Transportation Advisory Committee..- Council noted letter from County Con~issio~r Baas dated February 20, 1985 regarding the establishment of the Anoka County Transportation Advisory Co~nittee. And Awardina Bid.~ For Annual Sorina _lAst Clinic: Council unanimously consented to dispense with the reading of the resolution. Motion by Councilmember Schlueter and seconded by Mayor [{eitman to adopt Resolution t85-72 receiving bids and awarding the bid for the ann~al spring pet clinic to Elk River Veterinary Clinic for the amounts quoted in their proposal dated March 15, 1985. Further to set the pet clinic date for Saturday, April 20, 1985 from 8:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at the Ramsey Municipal Center. (Please refer to resolution file for Resolution 185-72). Further Discussion: Councilmember Cox stated that the proposed motion in the agenda indicates awarding the bid to Elk River Veterinary and he doesn't feel it is appropriate for Staff to indicate who the bid should be awarded to. Mr. Schnelle replied that Elk River Veterinary is Staff's recommendation; Council does not have to follow that recommendation. Oouncilm~r Cox noted that Andover Pet Clinic submitted a price quote on rabies vaccinations only and the other clinics included prices for various other types of vaccinations as well; if a variety of vaccinations are going to be offered at the spring pet clinic, it should be appropriately indicated when going for bids. Gouncilmember Cox noted that the Andover Pet Clinic is a branch of the Anoka West Pet l~ospital, which is a Ramsey tax paying business and deserves some consideration. Mr. Berg stated that the other clinics include a variety of vaccination types in their bids because the residents always request more than just rabies at the spring clinic; Andover chooses to bid on rabies only because rabies is the only vaccination required by law; Elk River Veterinary bid on rabies vacciantions is $1.25 less than that of the Andover Pet Clinic.
