Economic and Finance Subcommittee - <br /> <br />Commissioner Fults stated that he did attend a meeting of the Ramsey Charter <br />Commission in which recent charter ooncerns brought to light were discussed: <br />the Charter Commission is reluctant to make any recommendations regarding <br />charter amendments until after oonducting a public information meeting <br />regarding same. <br /> <br />Chairman Greenberg stated that he is hearing resident opinions that Ramsey has <br />two serious opposing factions -- Economic Development Commission and Charter <br />Commission. <br /> <br />Commissioner Cox explained that part of the reason for that impression is his <br />serving on EDC and Council, which according to Charter is not allcwed, but he <br />has certain it~ns he would like to see get off the ground before resigning <br />from EDC, i.e., City brochure. <br /> <br />Chairman Greenberg suggested that ]'/DC publish an article in each issue of the <br />Tri-City Newsletter regarding Ram~ EDC goals and expectations. The article <br />should also keep residents up to c~te regarding new businesses and existing <br />business expansion and the benefits to the City as a whole coming from that <br />business. <br /> <br />Motion by Commissioner Miller and seoonded by Commissioner COx appointing <br />Commissioners Fults, Hardin and Wagner to work with City Planner Anne Norris <br />to prepare Economic Developnent Ore,mission articles for each issue of the Tri- <br />City Newsletter to promote better communications between the Commission and <br />the residents of Ramsey. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Chairman Greenberg, Commissioners Greenberg, <br />Cox, Fults, Hardin and Miller. Voting No: None.
