No~e. <br /> <br />Case ~10.. 1986 Cxm~unit_v School Budge_t: <br /> <br />(Duncil noted receipt of proposed 1986 o0~munity school budget. <br /> <br />Discussion Re~ardina Board Of Adjustment.- <br /> <br />Mayor Heitman stated that requests for variances to accessory building <br />size are becc~__in9 very t/me oonsu~ing for (Duncil; it should be defined <br />what will be acceptable, modify the ordinance accordingly and enforce it. <br />If the City is going to oontinue with the variance prooess, it should be <br />by a r~tion fr~ Planning and Zoning or by a Board of Adjustment <br />meeting separate fr~ the Gouncil meeting or by a separate Board of <br />Adjustment (lm~ission. <br /> <br />(Duncil reviewed a survey prepared by Ms. Norris regarding accessory <br />building size limitations in other cities. <br /> <br />(Dmcil discussed various ways the ordinance could be modified. Mr. <br />Sdmelle pointed out that the ordinance should also address accessory <br />buildings in urban areas. <br /> <br />(Duncil tabled further discussion of this issue and directed City Staff to <br />send a letter to those request for variance applicants currently on 'hold' <br />informing them that City is in the process of reviewing that ordinance <br />regarding accessory building size. <br /> <br />Case %13.- Discussion Of Enforcement Of Ordimnces {i.e., ~otor <br /> Vehicle/_Operation Of Businesses With Licenses/Accessory <br /> <br />Mayor Heitman stated he is receiving ~plaints frc~ citizens regarding <br />properties containing a number of junk cars; why isn't the ordinance being <br />enforced? <br /> <br />City Attorney Goodrich stated that enforcement has been selective and <br />based on formal complaints; to do otherwise would require the hiring of a <br />G0~m~ty Services Officer. Mr. Goodrich stated that citizens can oontact <br />Ms. Norris at City Hall if they have a o0mplaint; MS. Norris will notify <br />the property owner in violation; if the matter is not resolved, the <br />o~mplainant can si~n a formal o0mplaint issued by the City Attorned and <br />the matter will go to court. <br /> <br />Mr. Schr~lle stated that this issue -r~c~s to be addressed for the urban <br />area also by way of oon~enances. <br /> September 10, 1985 <br /> <br />Page 6 of 11 <br /> <br /> <br />
