Oertificate of Insurance. <br /> <br />Mr. Brennan stated that the liquor license expired on June 30, 1985 and <br />irguired if O~uncil is going to require an application for a new license or <br />will renew the old license. Mr. Brennan urged Council to renew the old license <br />as there is no change in ownership. Mr. Brennan noted that Council is aware of <br />Mr. Gilbertson's background in the o~munity, a new license would require a <br />reapplication and public hearing which is time oons~ning, and 11 ~nployees are <br />presently out of work. <br /> <br />Councilmmber Sorteberg inquired if the liquor license would go into effect as <br />soon as the taxes are cleared. <br /> <br />Mr. Goodrich replied that it would ass~nin9 Council decides to reissue the old <br />license and not require application for a new license. <br /> <br />Mr. Goodrich read the proposed resolution. <br /> <br />Motion by Oouncilmember <Dx and seoonded by Councilmember Sorteberg to adopt <br />Resolution 985-132 to reissue the liquor license for J.R. 's Saloon, Mr. Janes <br />R. Gilbertson owner, and not require a new license application. ~is action is <br />subject to prominent, by the applicant, of the property taxes as required by <br />Anoka Gounty so that there are no delirguent property taxes on record. ~kis <br />means that the 1983 delinquent taxes and 1984 delirguent taxes have to be paid <br />in full. Further, that the applicant provide to the City a Tax Compliance <br />Gertificate from the Minnesota Department of Revenue which releases their <br />objection to the City of Ramsey issuing the subject liquor license. ~at the <br />applicant provide to the City of Ramsey a O~rtificate of Insurance as required <br />by City Ordinance. ~at the Police Ckief has oompleted his investigation as <br />defined by City Ordinance and find that the applicant has no criminal and/or <br />liquor license violations which would not permit reissuance of the su~ect <br />license. ~at the applicant sign the application for liquor license for the <br />year 1985/1986 before a notary public and that notarized dec~nent be presented <br />to the City. ~at the applicant psy to the City it's required $4,200.00 <br />license fee which includes a Sunday liquor license fee. In the event that any <br />one of the above is not acoomplished on or before August 5, 1985, the applicant <br />shall not receive a license from the City of Ramsey until he applies for a n~w <br />liquor license. (Please refer to resolution file for Resolution %85-132). <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Mayor Heitman, Councilmembers Sorteberg, COx, <br />Reimann and Schlueter.
